Puppies get their own BLOG

I can't believe the puppies are already almost 4 months old!   Mom, Morgan, is doing well and back to normal.  She continues to "teach" the remaining puppies to "behave", as a good mother should, which is good as they listen better to her than me!  LOL!  
2 of the puppies (Bailey and Tegan) have gone to their new homes and reports are all is well. 

I figured it was time for the puppies to have their own "BLOG", rather than to continue to post updates on Morgan's Page.

I can't believe how big they have gotten!! So hard to believe that 1.5 months ago they were still inside Morgan! They are still "learning" how to stand still on the table, but we are making some progress. We have taken a few photos during practices and photos of the puppies from 4.5 weeks old (front view) and 6 weeks old (side view) have been posted to the website! LINK to WEBPAGE

Puppies have been born!!

1 Handsome Boy and 4 Beautiful Girls!

Great job Morgan! She provided us with 5 Healthy Puppies late last night! It was a long labor for Morgan. She is tired but eating and doing well and all 5 puppies are doing great and eating constantly! This is our FIRST litter of puppies for "Cali Whippets"! Thank you Morgan!

A quiet moment last night - Mike "caught me" feeling the puppies move in Morgan's belly. They are getting quite active now!

Morgan at 5.5 weeks

Morgan has really exploded the past few days! Here are some pictures of her today.



Also, a friend was able to ultrasound Morgan and give us an official puppy count! She is expecting 9 puppies!! On ultrasound exam, they all looked healthy and active! Here are some 3D Ultrasound photos we took of one of the puppies! The second one has the puppy drawn so you can see it. You can even see it's little ear and legs!


I am getting very excited. Just over 3 weeks to go now!!!!

Morgan - just short of 5 weeks

Morgan is doing good.



Her belly is quite noticeable from the side now and she is quite "wide" when viewed from the top. We are about 1/2 through her pregnancy! The biggest changes are yet to come.

I will try to update this weekly with a new photo of Morgan as she "grows" with her puppies. Here is one to start with, you can see a slight drop to her tuck up as she stands, however, she definetly looks heavier to me when she is laying down.

She is already complaining...... I told her it has just begun!

We are very excited to announce that Morgan is officially pregnant! The litter is due the last week of August!

Back to Back "Select" Wins at MAHA

Miss Morgan doesn't show much anymore, but I usually enter her at local shows.

This past weekend, she went "Select" both days at our MAHA Hound show in Raleigh, NC and earned two majors towards her Grand Championship title. Needing only a few singles now, we have hopes of working towards finishing this title this year!

Morgan's Win Photo from the National

Morgan earns her Rally Novice Title!

While at our 2011 AWC National Specialty, Morgan was entered in the Novice Rally A Class. She did wonderful this day and earned a score of 95/100, placed second in her class and finished her Rally Novice title! I am very proud of this beautiful, athletic and smart girl!

Morgan Goes Coursing in Calhoun, GA

Morgan really loves to go Lure Coursing! To our delight, she placed 2 days in a row in a large Specials Stake in Calhoun, GA last weekend. She went 4th on Saturday and 3rd on Sunday, earning her her first LCX points!!! Congrats Morgan! From the picture below, I know you had a grand time!!

Morgan's First Rally experience!

Morgan tried Rally for the first time 2 weeks ago in Greenville, SC. To our delight, she did wonderful! She earned her first 2 of 3 "legs" needed for her Rally Novice title and on Saturday, went 2nd in her class with a score of 94 out of 100 possible!

I am very proud of this strong willed girl! Way to Go Morgan!!!
